    HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
ITALY - PIEDMONT - COUNTY DÉCIANE (desana) - DAUPHIN Tizzone
    (1583-1592)
The right to coin money was awarded to Louis Tizzone II (1510-1525) by Maximilian of Austria (1493-1519). The Counts of Desana monnayèrent until 1683, when the studio was sold to the Duke of Savoy, who closed it. Agostino (1559-1582) and Dauphin (1583-1598) Tizzone imitated the lion Louis II de Montpensier and the French royal lion.
